A Long-Expected Party

The time has come: The Austrian Tolkien Society will celebrate its 10th birthday in autumn 2012. For that, we want to gather with friends from near and far to spend a fabulous week- end together. Our festivity shall be nothing less than Bilbo’s Long-Expected Party.

What to expect:

A spectacular programme around Tolkien’s Arda awaits you. It will consist of literature workshops with discussion forums, games with some physical activity, craf- ting, quizzes and treasure hunts as well as of informative and meditative topics.The highlight will be our own Long Expected Party on Saturday evening.

On Friday evening our Welcome Evening will take place - we would appreciate it if all the attending Tolkien Societies could introduce themselves in a short presentation. Our Long Expected Party will happen on Saturday. For both evenings we would appreciate your active and creative cooperation.

A week before our anniversary celebration we would like to give you some important informations:

The address of the castle is Wetzlas, Wetzlas 1, 3594 Pölla. There will be signs along the way to guide you, but we encourage you to have a look at the route in a route planner.
There is a carpooling thread in our forum http://oetg.org/forum/grossver…..0-jahrige/ It's in German, but please don't hesitate to write in English, and we also encourage you to add your email address to your post, since many seem to have problems with the PMs.
If you are arriving on Thursday, please make sure, you arrive after 12AM. We are not allowed in the castle before 12AM.
Please bring some slippers or shoes with clean soles.
